Certificate of Renouncement of Vietnamese citizenship is the process to confirm an individual who applies official request to renounce his or her Vietnamese citizenship.  The final decision for renouncement application shall be made by the President of Vietnam

1. Required Documents

• Completed renouncement form of Vietnamese Citizenship.
• Personal background declaration form
• Copy of Vietnamese passport or Vietnamese Identification card.
• Copy of U.S. passport or any U.S.-issued photo identification.
• Contact information (address, phone number, email, full name of the person receiving the documents).

Note:
All forms and declarations must have certified signatures. Copies of both Vietnamese and U.S. passports must be notarized and certified as true copies by Consular Legalization
