Issuance of Vietnamese Birth Certificate / Passport for Children Born in the United States

Stars Vacation provides services to apply Vietnamese Birth Certificate /  Passport for Vietnamese Child born in the United States.  An issuance of new passport for child can be issued by the Vietnamese Embassy / Consulate in foreign country

1. Required Documents

• Completed birth registration form and passport application form for children under 14 years old.
• A 4 x 6 cm or 2 x 2 inches passport photo (white background, front-facing, bare head, clear face and ears, no glasses). Photo Sample.
• A copy/photo of valid identification documents (Vietnamese passport) of the parent(s) and proof of legal residence in the United States of the parent or the person submitting the application on the behalf of the child.
• A copy/photo of the child’s birth certificate issued by official authority in the United States.
• Contact information (address, phone number, email, full name of the person receiving the documents).

Note:

For children of mixed nationality: A written agreement to confirm Vietnamese nationality for the child is required.

3. Important Notes

• Passports issued to children under 14 years old are valid for 5 years.
• Processing time starts once we receive the complete application and it is accepted by the Embassy / Consulate
• In some cases, processing may take longer depending on the actual circumstances..
• The processing time for visa may take longer time due to national holidays or when additional documents are required.
