Record of Registration for Marriage Abroad is an administrative process for recognizing the marriage of a Vietnamese citizen (or between a Vietnamese citizen and a foreign national) that has been legally registered with a Vietnamese diplomatic mission abroad, in accordance with Vietnamese law.

A certified copy of the Marriage Certificate issued by a competent foreign authority
Photocopies of both spouses’ Vietnamese passports
Proof of legal residence in the U.S. (driver license, Identification Card)
