Record of Registration for Marriage Abroad is an administrative process for recognizing the marriage of a Vietnamese citizen (or between a Vietnamese citizen and a foreign national) that has been legally registered with a Vietnamese diplomatic mission abroad, in accordance with Vietnamese law.

1. Required Documents

• Marriage Registration Notification Form
• A certified copy of the Marriage Certificate issued by a competent foreign authority
• Photocopies of both spouses’ Vietnamese passports
• Proof of legal residence in the U.S. (driver license, Identification Card)
• Contact information (address, phone number, email, full name of the person receiving the documents)

• Processing time starts once we receive the complete application and it is accepted by the Embassy / Consulate
